Cyclauto was designed in 1937 by French engineer from Grenoble, Auguste Reymond, at the request of Indochinese businessman, Boyer. Boyer owned 6000 rickshaws in this time and he hoped to develope his transportation business: he meant to order 1000 transportation bicycles to be delivered in Hanoi. In first difficult years after WW2 Cyclauto three-wheelers were used in France to transport people and wares.
